I loved so many of my professors, but particularly Charlene Avallone and Gloria Jean Masciarotte, who were both absolutely terrific.
Your experience with Gender Studies/gender issues at Notre Dame:
I was one of the very first wave of students to go through the gender studies program, which I remember quite fondly.
How your Gender Studies education has impacted your life:
It has influenced my writing from early days till now. I'm got a third book coming out and many of the stories reflect some of the concerns and questions first raised in college.
