Christina Wolbrecht is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science. Her research interests include political parties, American political development, and women and politics. She is the co-author Counting Women's Ballots: Female Voters from Suffrage Through the New Deal (Cambridge 2016) which provides new insight into whether, how, and with what consequences women cast their ballots in the first five elections following suffrage. Wolbrecht also is the author of The Politics of Women’s Rights (Princeton 2000) and the co-editor (with Rodney Hero) of The Politics of Democratic Inclusion (Temple 2005) and (with Karen Beckwith and Lisa Baldez) of Political Women and American Democracy (Cambridge 2008). She is currently co-authoring a book on the first 100 year of women as voters in American politics.
