-

Location: Indiana State Museum - Indianapolis

Our theme this year is Women in Business, and this year’s keynote speaker, Gayle Cook, plans to talk about her entrepreneurial savvy and her philanthropic work restoring domed architecture. Additionally the event features a lecture from Regina Majors, President of the National Council of Negro Women (Indiana Chapter) and a performance from Freetown Village about the life of Madame C.J. Walker.

These presentations are all in the free public spaces of the museum, so even though the attached flyer says “included with museum admission,” visitors are able to take advantage of this aspect of the program free of charge. I have even arranged for students who show their student I.D. at the ticket counter to have their parking validated for free.
