Chamara Moore is a PhD candidate in the English department minoring in Gender Studies and Screen Cultures. She is completing a dissertation project that reads cyborg Black womanhood through speculative fiction, comics, and other media. Part of her project also explores the tumultuous relationship between blackness, electricity, and technology, and examines how it is further complicated by gender. Her work appears or is forthcoming in ImageText, Meridians, and Transition
