An Evening with Jacqueline Woodson

Location: Saint Mary's College - O'Laughlin Auditorium

Jacqueline Woodson

Join us for an evening of conversation with National Book Award-winning author of Brown Girl Dreaming, four-time Newbery Honor winner, and MacArthur Fellow, Jacqueline Woodson. As National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, Woodson will be speaking about her platform of “READING = HOPE x CHANGE (What’s Your Equation?).” With this message, Woodson hopes to encourage young people to think about – and beyond – the moment we’re living in, the power they possess, and the impact reading can have on showing them ways in which they can create the hope and the change they want to see in the world. This will be an in-person event.

PLEASE NOTE: PER THE COLLEGE’S COVID POLICY, MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL INDOOR CAMPUS EVENTS.

Tickets for this event are $12 and can be purchased using the link below or by contacting the Moreau Center Box Office (574) 284-4626.
