When I came to Notre Dame as a freshman, I had no idea what academic path I wanted to pursue. I took several different classes within the College of Arts and Letters to see what I was interested in, including "Women, Gender, and Theology," "Marriage and the Family," and "Gender, Space, and Place" - all classes related to gender! Once I realized how many Gender Studies credits I had already completed, I knew I had to be a minor. I'm so happy I made that decision because I've truly fallen in love with the subject and can't wait to use the knowledge I've gained when I enter into the real working world in a few months. I highly encourage other students to consider Gender Studies as a major or minor because it is an incredible program here at Notre Dame. My college experience would not have been the same without it!
