Majors/Minors: Anthropology, Peace Studies & Gender Studies
I declared my Gender Studies Minor at the beginning of my senior year (quite late, I know!) and though it was challenging to complete in one year, I have never regretted it! I had engaged in campus advocacy surrounding sexual orientation, gender identity, and race in the past, and found that exploring these themes in supportive academic spaces with wonderful faculty was extremely encouraging and rejuvenating. I have enjoyed integrating gender topics into my Anthropology and Peace Studies course work in the past, and am grateful for the opportunity to dive into them more deeply. I plan to take the analytical lens of gender studies with me where ever I go in the future, and am extremely grateful for my the classes I have taken here!
