I always knew that I wanted to study gender, but thanks to Notre Dame Gender Studies, I have had amazing opportunities. This summer I had the opportunity to get a jumpstart on my semester-long capstone paper. I compiled a list of resources and ordered the books online. I had checked the Hesburgh Library, but they did not have a wide selection of books that I could use for my capstone. Thanks to the Genevieve D. Willis Endowment for Excellence in Gender Studies Summer Research I was able to begin the research on California Safety Surrender Laws, while I was at home in California. I had a great summer reading all of these books in preparation for spending this semester writing!
