Gretchen Reydams-Schils

Gretchen Reydams-Schils is a Professor in the Program of Liberal Studies, Department of Philosophy. Reydams-Schils specializes in the traditions of Platonism and Stoicism. She is the author of Demiurge and Providence, Stoic and Platonist Readings of Plato’s ‘Timaeus’ (Brepols Publishers 1999); An Anthology of Snakebites: On Women, Love and Philosophy (Seven Bridges Press, 2001); and The Roman Stoics: Self, Responsibility, and Affection (University of Chicago Press, 2005).
