Marianne Tarcov

Marianne Tarcov received her PhD in Japanese literature in 2016 from University of California Berkeley. She is an interdisciplinary scholar of twentieth and twenty-first Japanese literature and popular culture. Her research interests include modern poetry and poetics, the ethics of documentary filmmaking, the poetics of the senses (particularly smell), and gender performance in women's professional wrestling in Japan.
