Susannah Monta

Susannah Monta studies the religious and literary writings of the Reformation era. In addition to a book on martyrdom (Martyrdom and Literature in Early Modern England, Cambridge UP, 2005), she has published articles on a range of subjects including marriage manuals, early modern women writers, history plays, and miracles. Current projects include an article on the important patroness Anne Dacres Howard, Countess of Arundel, which will publish for the first time a portrait of the Countess authenticated in 2007.
