It has recently been translated from the Irish and will be performed for the first time outside the Republic of Ireland in November at the University of Notre Dame.

November 14, 15, 16 in Washington Hall’s Main Stage Theatre

Time: 7:30pm

The Connemara Five addresses issues of gender identity, sex roles, ageism, and biological and emotional deterioration through the lens of contemporary Ireland. Set in Connemara, Mr. Ó Conghaile's work delivers an insightful and critical look not only of his native West Ireland but of conservative, transatlantic anglophone cultures.
