The Gender Studies Program offers faculty numerous opportunities to enrich their theoretical knowledge, pedagogical skills, and professional development, as well as their engagement with Notre Dame’s interdisciplinary gender studies community.

• Gender Studies Concurrent Faculty commit to cross-listing elective courses and/or to teaching Gender Studies core courses on a regular basis. Concurrent Faculty often mentor our students, participate in programming, and serve on Gender Studies committees.
   
• Gender Studies Affiliated Faculty may cross-list courses with Gender Studies, mentor our students, and/or participate in programming, but have no formal responsibilities to the Program.

In addition to teaching Gender Studies core courses and electives, faculty may serve as our Internal Scholar-in-Residence, be elected to our Steering Committee, share their work at our Faculty Research Workshop, and receive awards for teaching excellence in gender studies. 

The Director of Gender Studies welcomes ideas from our faculty on other programming initiatives.
