Greetings from the Human Development Conference 2015. The annual student-led Human Development Conference (HDC) at the University of Notre Dame brings together hundreds of students—from Notre Dame and universities across the country and around the world—who are passionate about development. They share their research experiences in the developing world and discuss the meaning of authentic human development from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
We would like to especially invite students in the Gender Studies Department to attend the following panels during the conference:
The Tragic Loss of Human Dignity: Gender Issues in Development, which will highlight domestic violence and sugar-daddy relationships.
The keynote speaker for HDC 2015, happening February 27-28 at the Hesburgh Center here at Notre Dame, is Jeffrey Sachs of Columbia’s Earth Institute. Registration for the HDC is free and now open (http://fluidsurveys.com/s/
