Sophomore year I took Intro to Gender Studies as a university requirement, not knowing Gender Studies would eventually become my passion. Before my Intro class I would have scoffed at the idea of being a feminist without actually knowing the history and the true definition of the term. Now I am a vigorous proponent of gender equality in the workplace, home, and educational environment and plan to use my Gender Studies minor to help influence my decisions during law school. It also helped that the Gender Studies department at Notre Dame is absolutely fantastic!
