Congratulations to our Teaching Apprenticeship Recipients

Author: Linnie Caye

Catherine Brix (PhD in Literature) and Melissa McCoul (PhD English) are the 2014-2015 Teaching Apprenticeship recipients.  They represent two graduate students (who are in good standing in the Gender Studies Graduate Minor program) who in Fall 2014 will serve as teaching assistants in the Introduction to Gender Studies which will be taught by the Director of Undergraduate Studies in Gender (DUS). Catherine and Melissa will participate in the annual review and updating of the syllabus, run a few lectures, help grade papers and exams, discuss papers with students and discuss the course regularly with the DUS. Then, in the Spring, they will co-teach the Introduction to Gender Studies themselves, with the DUS in an advisory capacity.  Congratulations to the both of you!
