I originally signed up for a Gender Studies minor so I would not have to seek approval for certain classes that seemed interesting and that lined up with my current job. I work for the South Bend Center for the Homeless, and see constant stories that make me question myself and the society we live in. I never thought I would fall in love with the department: the administrators, the professors, and the students. The environment is so safe and inviting, the conversations so deep, and the bonds so lasting. I do not know where I will go after Notre Dame, but I know I will bring everything this department has given with me.
