Majors/Minors: Biology & Gender Studies major
I was a freshman biology major set to immerse myself in science for the next four years when my freshman year advisor recommended I take the Intro to Gender Studies course. I thought he was being silly and it would be a waste of time, but it turns out that I loved it. My Gender Studies education has allowed me to take a wide variety of classes and given me the opportunity to utilize a different type of thinking than I use in my science classes. That education will be a helpful combination with my science as I will be working as an EMT in the coming year.
