In 1990 Kristin Sheehan graduated from Notre Dame as a Theology Major with Concentrations in Gender Studies and Peace Studies. She forged the way as one of the first Gender Studies graduates and currently is employed as an Associate Director of Play Like A Champion Today™ Educational Series at the University of Notre Dame. Her daughter, Shannon Sheehan is currently a sophomore at Notre Dame double majoring in Sociology and Gender Studies. She is also a Student Employee of Gender Studies. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Shannon is one of the first students to declare Gender Studies as a primary major (established in Spring 2013).
