Through Gendered Lenses

An Undergraduate Journal of Gender Studies Research

Through Gendered Lenses is an academic journal published annually by the Notre Dame chapter of Triota, the national Gender and Women's Studies Honor Society.

The journal was created to foster research in the interdisciplinary field of Gender Studies and to highlight excellent scholarship in gender and sexuality studies by undergraduate students across the tri-campus community of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s, and Holy Cross. We welcome submissions from students in all colleges and majors. Submissions must have as their central focus topics related to gender and/or sexuality.

Submission Guidelines

The journal is published each spring semester. Submissions are due by 5pm on the last Friday in February.

Written submissions may be 10–40 pages in length and must represent original scholarship by the author. Submissions should be written in English, typed in double-spaced 12-pt font, and saved as a Microsoft Word-compatible file. The paper must include a title, and the author’s name may not appear anywhere on the document.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Journal's editorial board, which is composed Triota members. The board will select a range of papers and/or artistic works that represent the excellence, breadth, and diversity of gender studies scholarship. We look forward to receiving your submissions!
